At Magical Journey Learning Center highlights Social and Emotional education within our curriculum. We work with the Growth Mindset theory to create intrinsic learners. We work on how mistakes help us learn, there are things we don’t know “yet,” and the power of perseverance. The curriculum is literature based with a powerful family connection.
Based on the findings of Carol Dweck, our students will begin and follow a journey into Growth Mindset. Our students gain an understanding of how they can intrinsically motivate themselves and their learning. Through social and emotional practices, our students believe it is “ok” to make mistakes, there are things they do not know “yet,” and that perseverance and challenges not only build their spirit, but make life long learners. Through use of literature, role play and hands on activities, Growth Mindset is a special piece of our curriculum at Magical Journey Learning Center.
